Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Reducing and reusing items are easy and affordable ways to reduce waste. What has gotten more challenging to do correctly is to recycle. The problem is not for lack of trying, but rather what is being recycled that gets tossed anyway.

Landfills, the largest being the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” (a floating island of garbage) is an environmental issue that needs to be addressed. It is easy to feel powerless but your efforts do make an impact. Much of the waste in these landfills could be greatly reduced by people learning how to better recycle items and compost kitchen waste products.
